Agogo Integrated West Hub: Production Begins in Angola. Key Solution joins the project with engineering expertise

The start-up of the Agogo Integrated West Hub (IWH) marks a major step forward for offshore energy production in Angola. Operated by Azule Energy in Block 15/06 and supported by Key Solution’s engineering competence, the project aims for a peak production of about 180 kbopd, leveraging estimated reserves of around 450 million barrels.

Key Solution’s role in the Agogo project

From early engineering to offshore start-up, Key Solution played an active role in the Agogo FPSO development. Our scope covered control and safety system engineering, full package integration, and electrical interface coordination, ensuring technical consistency across the asset. In close collaboration with Yinson, we supported structured execution and timely delivery. Our involvement extended to commissioning activities in China, transportation follow-up, and final start-up offshore Angola, contributing to a safe, fully integrated, and operationally ready deepwater production asset.

Advanced technologies for lower emissions and faster execution

The Agogo FPSO has been engineered to reduce deployment timelines and environmental impact. It integrates cutting-edge solutions for greenhouse gas reduction, including fully electric marine and topside systems and a pilot Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) unit.

A fast-track model aligned with the sector’s goals of efficiency, safety and sustainability.

A Low Carbon, Fast Track development model

With its Low Carbon, Fast Track approach and modular execution strategy, Agogo demonstrates how speed and innovation can work together. It stands not only as an industrial success story, but as a tangible example of international collaboration and applied engineering on a global scale.
